A move from the Midlands to the Southwest many years ago turned out to be even better than I'd ever hoped it would be. Me and the family turned our back on the noise, pollution and bustle that filled our everydays upcountry. 

We set up a new life in a quiet little town with a tidal river that ebbs and flows through every day. We have beaches, dunes, dramatic towering cliffs and space, so much space, and these surroundings influence the music that I make. 

For the past 50 or so years I have played 'Folk' music of one sort or another and collected a selection of acoustic instruments...guitars, mandolins, octave mandolas and Weissenborn slide guitars. It's these instruments I use and blend with electronic sounds to create the music that I record in my home studio today.

I still love to play at local folk sessions in my local area and sometimes travel to play country dances or attend nearby Folk festivals. I play in a local Americana band and occasionally gig with other local musicians.

I have written a lot of original music but I had never gotten around to recording and distributing my own music until Covid lockdown happened. This was a seminal moment for me and in 2023 I released my first self penned album entitled 'In the moment'.
